drawn after watching howl's moving castle (an AWESOME movie, as well as an artistic masterpiece ) for the.... second time i think. this is a character that only appeared at the very end. and since this is fanart, i altered his appearence a little to suit my style and my preferences. yes much fun
originally done with colored pencils. UNFORTUNATELY when i scanned it in, the colors and the contrast were totally messed up... so when i fixed the contrast, the colors became worse... thus the screwed up color, especially IN HIS FACE Q_________Q ignore please because... it wasn't my fault! *cries*
i gave the original to my aunt and uncle who live in Germany. they're the ones who gave the movie to me for my birthday. i made a cloud background for the original in clored pencil, and i tried to remake it on photoshop, but it well didn't work. T____T hey, better than blank space.
anyway, the movie is really cute and all of you should go see it
after seeing a few others of miyazaki's movies, i had been planning to see that, i havent yet...
but i really like it anyway, im sure the color was much better on the original.
he's cute, i like the pose. g'job.
I've never seen then enitire film, so it's a shame I never got the chance to experience the whole character.
Seeming interesting though,
Portrayed him as a nice guy, upstanding and forthright.
I'm asuming that's what he's like in the movie.
And if he really is such I'm sure he would have such a timid face while proudly tipping his hat, you know?
I understand the color issues that you seem to have had,
I've been in the same scenario myself and it's not very appealing, at all.
The orange ribbon on his hat perfectly matches his hair,
Even with the color distortion, I don't think it...the way.
I mean, hair is obviously going to be different than any color of fabric.
Maybe with his hair you could have but in some very small darker streaks to enhance the reality of it all.
Regardless of the toils with the machines. (damn them, damn them, damn them...)
Nice work.
