Description
I finally got a chance to upload this piece. Another summer assignment. I like it a bit better than my last one. C: Same requirements, use all of these materials and only these materials:
Required Materials:
Poster board (black or white) paint (black or white) charcoal (black and white) masking tape newspaper glue (of any variety)
Yes, that tree is made out of masking tape. I tried my very best to take advantage of the characteristics of each required material.
It was much fun, and I did it faster than I expected to. I actually did get an hour of sleep before the first day of school. It was awesome.
This piece represents progress, cycles, and above all, balance. I won't bore you with any more details.
Music that inspired this piece:
Republic Tigers - "Buildings and Mountains",
and to supplement the feel as I worked,
Republic Tigers - "Feelin' the Future", and pretty much that whole album. It kicks ass.
Stereolab - "Metronomic Underground"
Portishead - "Machine Gun"
Notice the futuristic theme? No? Hohoho...
